Default Orange Pads?

It's time to attack the swirl marks on my car again. In the past I've used Lake Country White pads with either 3m Swirl Remover or Four Star Swirl Remover and a Porter Cable. The results have been a little disappointing. Many of the swirl marks are still there. This time I'm considering using the Orange pads but I don't want to have to deal with any micro-marring. What has your experience been with the Orange Lake Country Pads?

I have had good luck with orange/MIP, orange/ZPC/, then white ZPC.
This is all with a PC.

I use the orange LC pads with my flex 3401 polisher on my blk c6
and my blk Porsche Cayenne. Also use Menzerna SIP and super
finish nano, and I have no problems with any of it.

It all depends on the polish i use with the orange pad. When using the pinnacle XMT swirl remover #3 with an orange pad, ill see some micro-marring, and mini-swirls after...but whem in using the orange pad with pinnacle xmt swirl remover #2, the finish will be perfect...it all depends on what youre using with the orange pad, in my eyes

My experience with the orange LC pads on my black paint is nothing but micromarring, no matter what polish I use. I stopped using the orange a while ago and use only the white pads now. It takes a few more passes to remove the imperfections but then there is a lot less micromarring afterwards, so in the end I get the job done faster by avoiding the orange pads.

I have a black car and cannot get rid of the swirls unless I use an orange pad, white one does not really touch them. Would suggest trying Wolfgang Swirl Remover or Menzerna.

Orange Light Cutting Foam Pad- mid range, less than 50% open cell high density foam (60 PPI) for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It’s an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.

You will need to follow this with a finish polish/pad as with all cutting pads.

Thats good to hear, becuase I tried using the orange pad with #3 last night with my PC and got all kind of mini-swirls. the #1 did get rid of them. I might get some #2 and see if that helps.

I find the combo to beat currently is orange pad / SIP , white pad/ SIP, and grey pad/ Nano polish. If using a PC or UDM consider the smaller 5.5 sizing and backing plate. You do need the orange polishing pads, and Menzerna polishes on the Vettes harder clear to even dent some swirls and micromarring.
