I'm going to buy mothers powerball/power metal polish from autogeek for my polished CCW's. What kind of drill(local) would be suitable for this application that won't break the bank?
Should I go with the mini powerball? Would a LC wool ball work better?

What model CCWs are they? The Powerball Mini will be better since you'll be able to get in crevices easily. The LC wool is better if the wheels are pretty oxidized since it will have more initial cut, but if they are in pretty good condition and you're just maintaining them, the Powerball will be fine.

505A's, they're in good shape. I'll go with the Powerball Mini. What speed should I use on the drill? Specific model?
That all depends on how crazy you want to go with your wallet. Generally you get what you pay for when it comes to power tools...when it comes to cordless power drills, I say the faster the better (I always just set it to the highest speed when using a Powerball - you won't generate enough speed/heat with a cordless electric drill to damage anything).
I believe this is the one we have here, and it's pretty badass.

Is the wool polishing ball softer than the powerball? The dense foam powerball is unforgiving and hard to control, IMO. Also, there's no way I could polish in between the spokes, the drill would not spin(Dewalt). From looking at the picture of the wool ball, it looks a lot less dense, and I think it would be much better for my application on the wheels. Am I correct?
On the other hand, the Powerball is very easy to use with the tips and produced nice results!
Killr, what model Dewalt do you use?

the yellow one , truthfully I have no idea on the model number bought it new off Ebay several years ago. I believe it was considered a hammer drill.
The Powerball Mini (my fav) is very easy to use and certainly fits into the spaces of wheels much easier. I find the wool seems to polish (likely cut) better and more matches the PowerballMD that Mothers only sells directly. It to is yellow

Do you mean in between here? There's no way the drill would spin the powerball in this little space. I figured the wool ball would be less dense, therefore spin easier.
actually the Powerball Mini goes into quite small spaces, I would try it carefully but you will likely be surprised. Fits in mine with plenty of room to spare. You can get smaller mushroom bobs at Eastwood as wanted.

Definitely doesn't fit or spin in the small space of the wheel(picture). I tried it.
