Default Need Car Care Guros...

I recentely bought an 01 Zo6 with Mod Red interior, well the previous owner dyed all the Red parts (except for the seats) Black. Is there anyway to take off the black dye without taking off the red under it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to talk to an apolstry shop or a leather shop.

They are dyed, not painted, you can't simply strip off the dye.

You'll have to have them redyed.

I'm no dye expert, but I'm pretty sure it's perminent.

Default Another Option

You may want to try periodically hanging around in the Parts for Sale section of the forum. I have seen owners selling complete OEM seats and covers as well as other interior parts that you could use to replace the dyed ones. Just a thought. Good luck, whatever you decide!
