Decided to order the Flex and now trying to decide what else I need. I will not be touching my 09 Vette for the time being as I have a 2002 Ford Crew Cab to "practice" on. I bought the truck new and it gets clayed and waxed twice a year so it looks pretty good. Also have one metal boat and one fiberglass to play with as well.
In addition to ordering the Flex I need a backing plate correct? Do they come in different sizes or brands?
Reading bugmans site he mentions we only need two types of pads, the yellow and white. Do you guys agree with this?
Gonna read a while longer before I decide on what type of polishes to buy but thanks to everyone so far.
The Flex comes with its own hook/look backing plate and the only backing plate available currently. An adapter from Edge is available to go to their pads but in very limited release.
If you have not purchased the Flex yet, consider the packages for best value. If you have a Flex, we offer several packages without buffer also. I highly suggest the easy to use Menzerna Ceramiclear package but you can also piece meal SIP / Nano or 085rd and pads as wanted. You wont really need any yellow pads (LC version is highly abrasive) but likely 1 or 2 orange, white, and finishing (red, grey, or blue).
If you need help, just call us its toll free. We also offer a price match guarantee if case someone beats us for your hard earned dollars.
PM answered ... you only need to choose your polishes of choice. I suggest Menzerna SIP/Nano or our Wolfgang 3.0 polishes made by Menzerna as nice choices.
