I wouldn't recommend it on clearcoated wheels. It can/will eat the clear off. I used to use a diluted (50/50 water/simple green) mix on my old Fikse wheels, per their recommendation, and it worked well, but those wheels were raw polished aluminum hoops with anodized centers.

I've used the same diluted solution on metal engine parts, but make sure you rinse THOROUGHLY, as it can pit aluminum.

I choose to use something different. Just too many potential risks with it. Lots of other choices.

I've used it alot on rims, brakes, and exhaust tips. But after reading above on damaging clearcoat I'll probably lay off on the rims. I am very thorough on the rinsing so hopefully I didn't do any damage.

I mist my engine compartment with water and then use a 50/50 solution of water and Simple Green in a spray bottle. I spray the compartment and wipe or brush the areas i can reach. I rinse it down with a light mist afterwards. No problems, every thing looks like new under the hood.

DONT USE ON UNCOATED HIGH POLISHED ALUMINUM WHEELS !!

I suggest P21S or our DP Wheel Cleaner for a safer alternative.
