Tree sap
The next day I noticed these little dots on the surface of my car. It isn't bad but I want to get them off. My question is if I use a claybar will it hurt whatever wax is on the car?
I bought it last year and it has a perfect finish but I dont know what type of wax or polish is on it.
Will going over the car with water & a clay bar dull the wax or finish?
It's a 98 C5 Torch red with only 20,000 miles on it and has always been garaged and looks better than a lot of new C6's I see at the shows.
I have tried Mcguiers quick detail but it wont get the stuff off.
Thanks for any responses.

Claying (which is what you should use to remove the sap) will remove the wax/sealant (will NOT dull the finish) that is on the car. That's the purpose of it to remove everything on the car down to the clearcoat. I would just clay the whole car (won't take too long) and put your sealant/wax of choice on after (be sure to do this as after claying, there will be no protection on the paint.) You will love it when it's done and will look better than ever. If you have any more questions, just ask. Good luck!
