Clear Coat Problems...
Today I spent the morning detailing the wife's white mini van. Man was that thing disgusting. Anyway, a while back she got some tree sap on it. I was getting ready to deploy and didn't have chance to get it off. When I returned a year later, I tried everything but the clear coat looked like it was bubbling. THis morning I realized the clear has chipped everywhere there was a sap spot. So, I realize the paint is shot. I still clayed the car, hit it with Z-AIO and then put a coat of Z-CS. Will that still provide some protection to the raw paint exposed where the clear coat is missing? THe only place the paint was smooth was where there was no tree sap. On a Corvette note, I shined her all up pretty too, took the top down, and went on a great drive this afternoon. Thanks.

It will provide limited protection.
