Default NEWB help please!

Hey guys, I have a custom set of wheels that has the brushed aluminum center cap painted red....or to be more specific, just the letters of the manufacturer are painted red in the cap. Anyway, they did an absolute **** job...horrible....so I want to remove the paint without damaging the wheel. The paint is a pretty small area. I have to leave the caps on the wheels since I must remove the wheel to remove the cap. SO I plan on stripping or removing the paint with the caps on the wheels...wheels mounted on the car. I do however have gloss black painted windows on the five spoke wheels...so I need to be carefull not to touch any of that paint...but the rest of the face is a brushed aluminum...no paint on surface of wheel.

What's the best way to get the job done?

I would consult a professional ... first think to find out if the wheel caps are clearcoated. If so the red lettering might be under the clearcoat and pose problem. If not you might be able to buy new caps cheap and just replace for the cost of time and patience needed for repair.
