Where can I buy clay bars without buying a whole kit? All I need is the bars and all the parts stores have is kits? Please advise.

Why not just buy the whole kit? It only has the clay bars and some quick detailer to lube the clay bars. I've seen just the clay bars on AG, and they cost as much alone as the kits do from Mothers or Megs.

Zaino and Pinnacle and I'm sure a few others sell clay bars separately -- both available from CF vendors.

Try your local auto body supply house.
Ask for overspray clay, but make sure you get fine or perhaps medium grade.

We have clay bars outside of kits, with kits, and also have a BOGO on our Pinnacle Ultra Clay currently. Hope it helps !!

some use car soap and water, others actually make their own clay lube with products like ONR and Rinseless washes.

My advice is to just pick up the claymagic kit from autozone. It's only $12.99 and it has the 200g bar of blue clay and some lube. Sure saves some money lot versus the $20+ detailers clay not to mention shipping charges when buying online. You could definitely try a local body shop supply house but those aren't always easy to find and sometimes they are pricey due to low volume sales to individuals.

if you lived here you could pick up the Mothers kit with two bars for under 14 bucks at Fleet Farm, and if it made you feel any better you could throw away, or give to a friend, the bottle of detail spray that comes with it

Not all of the Auto Zones carry the Clay Magic kit. The Clay Magic kit contains the 100 gram bar and a 12 oz. bottle of spray lube. If you can find clay locally you can also use extra soapy water as a lubricant for the clay. You can also pick up a Magna Clay Sponge which was designed to be used with soap and water.

Hope all turns out well.
