Default Windows?

I'm learning the Zaino system....and thanks for all the help in getting me going....I had used rain-x on other cars that would be driven frequently in the rain....this '10 GS convert is only going to see rain by freak accident....THE TOP IS DOWN ..and in the U.P. of Michigan it will be in a 68 degree heated garage at the 1st sign of snow...(for sure by Nov 15th...opening day of deer season...come on up...)...what should I do (use) to get to clearest streakfree windows....I hate the way rainx shows smears especially when going into the sun.....I really appreciate being hooked up to so many experienced folks on this site...thanks again...

Default Stoner's Invisible Glass

The best product I've found to clean glass is Stoner's Invisible Glass. You can pick it up at most auto stores at around $4:00 a can aerosol. The original Invisible Glass does not have water repellant in it, but they do have Invisible Glass with a water repellant additive. I've got a spray bottle of it, but don't expect the same results as a Rain-X application.

Use Stoners Invisible Glass for glass cleaning and use a Waffle Weave MF towel for streak free results. Try to do outside of direct sunlight for best results when cleaning glass. Move from RainX to Aquapel for better results. Trust me, its a huge difference. Average Vette needs two applicators and will last for 6-12 months. Apply on clean glass. If you have any water spots and cannot remove with glass cleaner, try DP Glass Restorer first. We carry all your needs as desired ...

Clean the glass in two directions. On the outside, wipe horizontal and on the inside wipe vertical. If you see streaks, then you can tell exactly which side of the glass they are on and don't have to chase them.

I also prep the outside of the glass just like the paint. Clay, polish, and seal with Z2 or Z5. It works great and bugs slide right off.

Good luck,
Randy

IMO Meguiars D120 in their detailer line is hands down the best I've used. I just coverted another Stoners IG user last night. It's also very cost effective as it cuts 10:1 with water. You can get a 32oz sample size for $7 and that still cuts 10:1 with water!

I also agree with Z06_Joe on the Huck Sergical towels. IMO the MF are just too clinging on the glass just before the cleaner evaporates.

Two towels is the key to streak free glass. One for the initial cleaning, and then use the second towel just before the cleaner evaporates. If you only use one towel all the gunk you pick up as you go just gets smeared around down the line.
