Bra or Braless....
I have this removable paint protector kit coming from Ecklers.. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...dept%5Fid=1348 ..have no idea whether or not this stuff stays on....they claim it does..anyone try it?..but what about the front..... not really enthused about getting the 3m stickon stuff put on my Torch Red Grand Sport Convert...guys have told me that when I take the car on a long trip to put clear plastic wrap like Gladwrap or something on the front...has anyone tried that?

If you want protection for long trips just pick up a GM Bra for around $99.00, they look okay for trips and give you the protection you want. As for the Ecklers product I have heard it works but after awhile does not stay put. I have not tried it myself so really can not say for sure.

The bra route is the best way to go especially on long trips. The GM bra will give you more protection because of the thickness of the material than the nylon stretch bra. The drawback to the GM bra is it takes some effort to get the thing on and off. The stretch bra goes on is about three minutes and comes off in about two but does not offer as much impact protection. That would be the trade off between the two.

The ever repeating question. Get a clear bra. Not noticable and protects your car all of the time... not to mention it wont scratch your paint like a leather bra does.

I had a clear bra professionally installed on the nose of my C5. You can't even see it and it provides great protection and piece of mind on trips.
When I bought the car it came with the black, vinyl GM bra. In my opinion, it's a PITA to put on and looks ugly. Have a quality clear bra professionally installed and forget it.

No doubt that the clear bra is the most desirable of all the options. The drawback that I had was the cost. Depending on exactly what you want covered the cost could be anywhere from $300 to $600+ in some cases. The GM and stretch bra's are much less expensive but are very obvious especially if your car is not Black. There are car color vinyl high quality bras available but the cost is considerably higher than the GM or the stretch versions. Several choices for you to consider.

Living in Florida- Home of the Lovebug- I cannot understand anyone living here with a Vett and NOT having a Clear Bra. Best money ever spent!!! Will have one on any new car I own- even the Wife's Mini Van.
