Menzerna Closeout
The End of One Era; The Beginning of Another
In September of 2003 when Classic Motoring Accessories, aka ProperAutoCare.com, contracted with Menzerna GmbH to introduce their line of polishing products in the U.S. market, we never dreamed that the line would become as successful as it has. The Menzerna line of polishes has become a staple for professional detailers throughout the United States and Canada as it has in the rest of the world.
When we first became aware of the significance of this line of polishes, compared to what was then available, we knew we had a winner. We immediately approached Menzerna to distribute their line to professional detailers and end users throughout the North American Continent. We also pleaded with them to complete their line with a shampoo, rim and tire cleaner, sealant and spray wax. Our request fell upon deaf ears. They replied that they “were a polish company and did not manufacture other such products”. They were after all, an “OEM” company manufacturing polishes for the automotive industry. They were not really interested in the consumer market and felt it better served by a company like ours.
After many attempts to get them to “complete” their line, we offered to manufacture the non-polish products and market the entire line under a label of our design. We had our graphic artist come up with the “purple” designed label you have all come to know. After approving our label, we agreed to license the name “Menzerna” from them and produce the requested products ourselves. They agreed and we set out to create a truly unique line of products to complement the polishes. The artwork was received with such enthusiasm, that Menzerna USA asked to use it on their Professional Product Line brochure.
We find that we have now come full circle and have accomplished what we started in 2003, that being to introduce the detailing world, both professional and amateur, to the Menzerna brand name.
Effective immediately, we are discontinuing the “purple” labeled CMA, Menzerna products, (FMJ, Final Polish II, Finishing Touch Glaze, Acrylic Jacket, Auto Shampoo, High Gloss Acrylic Shield, and Gel 7.5 Tire & Wheel Cleaner) and are offering them at a 30% discount. Supplies are limited and closeout pricing is for stock on hand only. “Purple” labeled Menzerna kits have also been discontinued and are no longer available.
A number of the CMA created, “Menzerna” labeled, products have met great success with the detailing community. FMJ polymer sealant, High Gloss Acrylic Shield spray sealant detailer, and Gel 7.5 Tire & Wheel Cleaner continue to sell at a rapid pace. To see them “disappear” would seem a waste. After much thought, we have decided to keep these products in the ProperAutoCare.com family by rolling them into our Eimann Fabrik line of professional detailing products. They will be available in 16 oz., 32 oz., and one gallon sizes at a later date.
We will continue to sell the full line of Menzerna of Germany polishes and other new Menzerna products as they are introduced.
