In most circumstances, 2-3 coats of any product is going to ensure complete coverage and give optimum appearance and durability.
Zane is correct and I might add to understand the product being used. We often use pure waxes and sealants with no cleaners nor polishes built in. But for those using these products, often the 1st layer is removed by the second layer. Also with sealants (synthetic waxes) allow the proper curing time between layers for best protection.
Yeah, don't make the mistake I did. There were a lot of people on here talking about how great NXT was and how it was even better when you applied the McGuiers spray wax on top of the NXT to really bring out the pop.
As soon as I had buffed the NXT, I hit it with the spray wax. And then put another coat of NXT, buffed it and then hit it with another coat of spray wax.
Complete waste of a day. Car looks great but it was a lot of unnecessary work. In fact, I probably took off a good deal of the NXT by applying something directly on top.
Give those synthetics a night to cure and THEN use something on top if you want.
