When washing and detailing my car I always do the tires also, So covering them isn't a big deal, You can always cut a couple pieces of cardboard to put against the tires.

These are designed for wheels up to 17 inches. You can however move them around easily while adding protectant to avoid wheels. Hopefully they will release larger versions soon !
