Yesterday I used the pc for the 1st time. 1st I washed and clay bar the car then used Adams fine scratch and swirl remover with the orange pad then went to polish with the white pad all from Adams. Still have to put on the speed wax. I know silver is a hard color to see the deepness in the paint but so far so good .
I bought the porter cable and Zaino last year, but I havent dont my car yet. Im affriad of Fing it up lol.
Now that it has started to cool down some, Ill spend a day on the outside of the car
Looks good!! The wax is the easiest part with the pc!!
I was scared to death to use it on my EB Z, but just decided to dive in one afternoon. Turned out great, and is a breeze to use. With today's car care products designed for orbital buffers, it's almost impossible to screw your paint up, just pay attention to what your doing!!
Mine turned out great, but there are a few little scratches I need to spend some extra time on.
Car looks GREAT! Could you tell me what PC you bought and where to get one?
Its the porter cable 7424xp you can do a google search and get it that way or you can buy the whole kit from adams which will come with clay bar, micro fiber towels all the pads and special hook and loop adapter and polish and wax

The original Porter Cable PC7424 and newer PC7404-XP are quite user friendly and pretty easy to use with nice results. You will need to spend some time and effort as the Vettes clearcoat is rather hard to repair (yet so easy to scratch up). You should be rewarded with more gloss and reflection too.
Most will suggest a two step polish with a medium grade polish and then following up with a lighter finishing polish. Menzerna, Meguairs, and Wolfgang are some of the best and you'll find alot of praise in the car care section of the forum. You can then certainly use Zaino to protect the hard work and results.

The PC7424 is a random orbital buffer and long been a staple in car care. Meguiars and Griots offer one too, and the Flex is considered the Cadillac of random orbitals.
