It was advertised on SPEEDCHANNEL during the Sebring 12 hours. So, I thought I'd give it a whirl.
I'm impressed. I have the Raybestos QS low dusting pads, but this stuff on the wheels is even more amazing! The wheels' surfaces feel like glass. T'aint no dust, nowhere on the wheels after I applied it on Sunday.
They claim their product is a polymer with carnauba, the problem with that is carnauba breaks down at 135 degrees, your wheels can get much hotter than that. If you are a Zaino user and use Zaino polish on your wheels, you will find that Zaino will keep protecting to well over 400 degrees, that means your protection will last longer. ;)
Well, I'm still impressed with it. It's not melting. I've braked from 120 a couple of times, so either I'm not hitting 135 degrees, or it's capable of going beyond that. It's done wonders on my wife's CR-V, which gets really disgusting brake dust. It's much better than it's ever been.
I know this is hard to believe, but some of us don't use Zaino.
You are also running Raybestos pads that make no dust compared to most pads. I do not care what product you use, use whatever works for you. My Wheel Wax arrived yesterday, we sent one container to the lab for testing, and I will be testing the other, it smells tropical and seems greasy like it contains oils, I do not know how brake dust will not stick to this product. I am going to Zaino one front BMW wheel and Wheel Wax the other, will post results in the next week or two. :)
I use Z-2 on my wheels since my car was new and everyone asks me how many times a year I take my wheels of to clean the whole rim. I do it once a year and my wheels look like new,
