I have the corsa titanium exhaust. The interior of the tips are nicely blued, and the tips are high polished. They have some scratches in them I'd like to work out, and I'd like to do something to "seal" the nice bluing and easily remove exhaust soot.
Also the muffler bodies are bright but not polished. I don't want to get them to a mirror shine, but I'd like to have them really bright. Tried steel wool and flitz so far, but it's not quite there yet.
Are the tips actually chrome, if so theres a product called Blu-job that is great on chrome and removes bluing. It is highly regarded in the motorcycle industry. Rolite Metal Polish is another product best known in the aviation industry that polishes most metals with nice results.

Titanium
Titanium needs very little care and maintenance as its immune to corrosion from most industrial and organic chemicals and salt water. This is due to titanium's very thin, tenacious and highly protective surface oxide Ti02. If worn or scratched, the oxide layer will immediately restore itself in the presence of air or water.TiO2 oxide is surface oxide of titanium, and if not properly cared for the surface will be altered by abrasion.
• Wash cool exhaust system with a soft sponge, or micro fibre towel, using a surfactant mild detergent (P21S Total Auto Wash).
• Your titanium exhaust system will change colour (blue, purple, gold) due to heat; this is normal.
• Do not use cleansers which contain abrasives, or abrasive sponges. Abrasive cleansers and sponges can wear or thin the oxide layer resulting in a change of colour
• Avoid metal to metal (synthetic wire wool) contact that may cause surface scratches
• Use English Custom Polish (ECP) Dry Showman’s Blend, using a soft micro fibre towel
The tips aren't chrome, they are high polished titanium.
Ts?
I remember when the exhaust was first released, it was suggested GM used a light layer of chrome on the tips, it was never confirmed or denied. I am sorry for any misinformation you felt was offered. Heres some posts I found.
When something like this occurs on the titanium exhaust simply use a glass cleaner containing ammonia and spray the surface. Wipe dry with a clean Microfiber cloth. This will help in removing any dirt, grime and other junk.
Using similar polish made for stainless steel ( Wenol ), you can polish your titanium exhaust. Also if you are looking for a eco type friendly way ( eco folks ) of cleaning the titanium, try some toothpaste with a very fine abrasive pad.
Extra and deep cleaning of titanium can easily also be accomplished by using those small cotton buffing accessories that come with a dremel tool.
