trunk emblem

I did a search and didn't get a satisfactory answer. I like the trunk emblem and don't want to remove it. Does any one have any new product or safe process that will not harm the paint but will remove the gunk in the rear emblem?

often times q-tips and some APC work in these areas. Best part, you can purchase and replace these emblems rather inexpensively as wanted should they fade or look less than perfect.
