Ok,

I know we are product-focused (I know I am) and our grandmothers would faint at how many commercially available products we buy to solve most household challenges. It's as if we don't trust that we could comeup with something as good as somebody selling something. And I'm sure many of these products are much better than what I could even begin to think-up.

BUT........ in order to do a simple quick clean-up of say a one-inch square area of my car that I drop something on (say Hershey's chocolate syrup), can't I just mix-up some "mild-detergent" with water in a spray bottle, spray it on and gently blot-up with a clean dry fluffy towel?

I know Dawn's won't work as it's too strong and is maybe a bit too caustic (I guess)...... maybe bathsoap leaves a residue.... so I'm not sure what is a "mild-detergent". This could also possibly help dilute or wash-away a bit of the hard water deposit I failed to notice when I washed the car. Is it maybe a car-wash product I should use (but without getting it all sudsy and making a big splash all over)?

Any suggestions? Maybe I'm a contrarian but just thought it might be something so obvious and simple I'm overlooking and all you already have that solution thought-through??

Thanks any comments, suggestions.

P.S. I do the Museum pick-up on the 20th and so getting in the "preparation mode".

save yourself some time and effort and grab a product that will have you happy with results in many different manners from quick detailing to actual washing or cleanups. It is also compatible with all waxes and sealants so you wont need to reapply them after every use.

Guys, I do like what these two products are described as doing...... the only thing was that I was kind of hoping that a simple cleaner that could help dissolve ocassional water spots or bird droppings, or even something odd like spilt choco syrup, without doing something so complicated as bonding with the paing's surface. I'm new at this but how many products can I have "bonding" at the same time? If I applied a first polymer coating, then find myself with the spots I mentioned, I was just looking for a product that would easily, safely and simply help me remove the problems.

I don't mean your products are over the top or anything, but it reminds me of when I decided to keep my meeting notes on a scratch pad made of paper instead of whipping out a computer to write it down with. I know both methods work, but which one is kind of "built" for the way I operate?

Still, you've interested me in them and it looks like there's probably a place for them in my garage. By the way zoomzoom, I like that you offer free shipping under $69, it's so easy to spend that much these days.......

Thanks again, I may end-up just mixing a very diluted dishwashing liquid in an empty spray bottle...... not sure yet.

You will find ONR does all that you need and more without issue. If you already have a good sealant on their, it will work with it and reduce those spots and emulsifiers will work on dirt and other stuff. You can certainly also consider any number of Quik Detailer products or rinseless washes too. Ultima makes a great one !
