Best Battery Tenders? (Pls Don't say Deltran)
What are the BEST Battery tenders of choice out there?
Please don't say Deltran. I bought of case of 4 Deltran "Battery Tender Plus" for my corvettes less than 3 years ago. I am now 2 for 4. Two died over the past couple of months. Of course, I understand that they are made in my favorite county....China. Need I say more. Sure, I did the obvious thing & called Deltran (10 yr warranty) and for a price of $18 fee, they will test it Plus approx $20 S & H. So its essentially going to cost me $38 (compliments of Deltran) for a an old charger that sells for $42 new on ebay from various sellers. So for the sake of $4, Deltran essentially wants us to throw them away and buy another one from them so that one could also fail within a few years. Obviously, their Business Model.
I have 3 corvettes that I keep on "trickle charge". I appreciate your inputs on the best available from this forum's experience. CTEK? DieHard? NAPA? others?
I THANK YOU all for any comments.

IMO the C-Tek 3300 is probably the best battery tender out there right now. I use them on all my cars and they work as designed. They are especially useful on the newer Corvettes that will eat batteries if not used regularly. The GM version with the Corvette logo is actually a C-Tek 3300.

Burning Brakes
I've had 2 of the BT+s fail on me within 3 years. I'm on my 3rd. They replaced the two failures for $15 S&H. I have them plugged into a surge suppressor which is plugged into a commercial electronics work bench whose outlets are further protected.
That benig said, the bench is plugged into the same garage outlet as my air compressor, which may be the culprit from huge spikes as it kicks on and off. Since failure #2, I no longer use the BT+ on that Harley. I use it for the vette only plugged directly into an extension cord plugged into an outlet. No supression and no issues since.
I have a Deca smart charger plugged into the same doubel protection and it has never failed.
A buddy down the street who rides had an issue with his BT jr. It was past warranty (6 mos) so went and bought a BT+. He's only had it a year so can't comment on its reliability.
For the other bike I run the small Schumacker automatic $20 from Tractor Supply. I have the watersealed version on my boat. Since they are automatic and not smart chargers, they should not be left on for days/weeks on end.

I had one Battery Tender fail (after 9 years of use). I just bought a Ctek 7002. Read good things about them. Guess I will find out if everyone is right.

Melting Slicks
Get a Batteryminder by VDC electronics--plugs into the wall and works great-----go to there website and read about them--ive had one plugged in for 4 years--no problems--the best on the market!!BTW--had a CTEK for 2 months and it burned the paint on the unit--Maybe Chung Wa Woo got some wires mixed up--
