It's made of a course, low quality foam that doesn't hold up very well. The only use it really serves is if you put a microfiber bonnet around it to remove the wax using the machine.
It was made to use with a light polish or just wax on your ride. I would just leave it in the box and great a great set of Lake Country pads from your friends at PAC!
Does that white foam pad that is included with the PC have any real use?
do yourself a favor and get a good 5 inch flexible backing plate. Then add some 5.5 inch Hydro-tech or Flat pads. You will be set. If you need help just let us know.
On the PC counter weight it say's 5" pads only or is it the backing plate? I can not find 5" pads.
dont worry about the counterweight, I have used both many times with absolutely no difference in outcome. I would suggest a 5 inch flexible backing plate and 5.5 inch pads. You can also consider a 6 inch backing plate and 6.5 inch pads, but the best outcome is the smaller size ones and amplified by many PC users.

The pad uses the same exact foam in Lake Country's white polishing pads. The problem is really that the pad is too tall and the backing plate is too small, so you get a lot of 'flex' inside the pad when the machine is running. This really reduces the polishing ability of the system.
