Been seeing a number of posts about using the Nano Auto Scrub in place of using a clay bar. Looking for all comments pro and con regarding this product. Thanks in advance.
I used the AutoScrub pad with Nano Shock spray and it pulled out all the embedded debris in the paint surface. When I did my wife's white car, it pulled up a bunch of stuff and occasionally deposited semi-dried, brown residue in areas that were not wet from the spray. No worries, these deposits easily wiped up with a buffing cloth. I'm guessing this stuff is all the debris the scrub found in the paint surface.
The net result was a super, extremely smooth, paint surface which was free of any detectable debris. I then applied a few layers of Hydrophobic carnauba wax and must say it simply looks and feels great!!
Weve been moving alot of them, and Nick did a review on our forum (see toolbar on our site). If you can handle the original cost outlay over clay, your in for a treat that lasts and lasts. Its a great product ...

The AutoScrub pad works great, used it with my PC 7424. This needs lots of lube spray and works extremely well. At least twice as fast with very minimal effort.
Now what to do with all my clay bars?
Pros: Faster than hand applied detailers clay bar
Less effort using machine application
Cons: Remove 80 -90% of surface contaminants (use a traditional clay bar post AutoScrub and see what it removes)
Initial cost outlay
My preference woudl be the Nanoskin Suface Prep towel
Hmmm, We use them exclusively now in my detail shop and found it really outperforms traditional clay bar.
We had a Volvo in that had not even been washed in 5 years, it was fuzzy. The AutoScrub cleaned it up completely. We used a purple clay after the fact, as a final test before I bought one and got nothing.
We found our results improved using soapy water versus their lube.

Thanks. The soapy water alternative to lube would be a great cost saver too.
I would NOT use soapy water, seen people mar up there paint like that. It breaks down ALOT faster. You can use any QD spray and that stuff is cheap so why cause more work than needed by then having to fix the marring

No expert here, so I will let those who are debate this. But I would be interested in the outcome.
Has anyone mixed up some ONR and used it ??? I often find it perfect as a clay lube substitute (cheaper too) but havent gotten a chance to try it with the towel.

Never had a problem and we have done over 100+ cars in my shop using soapy water. You just have to make sure you use enough.

Your one of the few then lol, had a guy recently call me saying he had issues with his Pad marring his paint because he used Soapy water with the pad. Just not worth the potential risk in my opinion when its so cheap, but hey if it works you go for it
