I've been going back between the Porter Cable 7424 XP Dual Action and the Griots Garage 6 Inch Random Orbital 3rd gen. I thought I was sold on the PC but like the power of the Grotis but it's not a DA just a random orbital.
The flex is more than I want to spend so that is not an option.
I'll put in my vote for the PC, since it's the one we carry. Also, if it's worth anything in your decision, when you purchase a machine from us we warranty it FOR LIFE, above and beyond the standard 1-year factory warranty.
I'd vote for the PC also. I just purchased my second one. The first one was 6 years old with about 75 cars a year of use. For the "average" user it's a lifetime purchase.
The Griots machine offers more torque versus the PC-XP model and most consider it an upgrade especially after using the PC-XP. The Flex is certainly an upgrade to them both and consider a forced orbital. Not to make things hard, but Meguiars also offers one and it fits in similar pricing to the PC.
Now matter the choice, order it from us and get a price guarantee and models in stock and ready to ship. We offer them in kits also if you prefer to get everything in one package.
Same as cmonkey. Have the older PC, and bought the new Griot's from AutoGeek. Very happy with it and a big difference from the old PC. Like others have said the Flex is the best, but it just depends on how often you need touse the buffer as to justify the price difference.

This is a GOOD deal!
Mine is 2 1/2 years old and the spindle bearing is going bad... costs about $45 plus shipping. The stupid factory parts warranty doesn't cover NORMAL WEAR!
We offer a full time price guarantee, and most of our sales don't include buffers as we always keep them at the lowest of prices. The Flex is one bad azz machine and many bought the others first and upgraded and never looked back.
