Default Good correctional setup

So I just bought a black corvette, and it has tons of swirls, as well as some clear coat hazing on the lower bumper. Basically, lots of correction needed.
Evaluate my list:
Optimum no rinse-cleaner
Meg clay kit(any suggestions on other clay?)
Meg ultimate compound
Meg ultimate polish
Nxt 2.0 wax.

I'd look at getting a Nanoskin Clay Towel Fine Grade instead. It will last longer, be faster, and if you drop it you don't have to throw it away you just rinse it off and your good as new. It's more up front but once you use one you won't go back to actual clay.

If your looking to stay with meguiars products I'd use 105/205 combo instead. Or look at HD Cut/HD Polish combo.

For wax I'd use a wax like HD Poxy or Blackfire Wet Diamond or D301, but if you like 2.0 use it.

ONR is a great product and good choice, another I'd look into would be Infinite use detail juice that stuff is real good too

I don't need to stick with one brand. I already have the ONR(love it) and the ultimate polish. But if there are better products, please suggest them

I'd look into the meguiars 105/205 or HD Cut/HD Polish for correcting the paint. Then either Blackfire Wet Diamond or HD Poxy for wax. I'd get the Nanoskin towel then if you haven't already bought the clay bar.

Are you using a Porter Cable or Griots or flex?

I haven't purchased a DA, yet. Still trying to decide between them. It seems the PC is a good entry level, while the flex is a step up in both price and quality.

I'd get the Griots instead its a lot more powerful than the PC.

If you got a bigger budget the Rupes is REAL nice I'd get that over a flex for sure they are about the same price

Adam's Premium Car Care Products is the Officially Licensed Car Care Product of the Corvette and Camaro. Take a look at the videos on the Adam's web site. Adam and Dylan explain step by step the correct process for removing swirls and scratches. They also explain how to properly use a PC and Flex for best results.

spend the extra money and get the FLEX. I have the PC and the flex goes to the next level of correction.

Its clearly time for an orbital and I too would consider a Griots, Rupes 15, or Flex 3401. The PC is bulletproof but doesnt have the extra torque and response the Griots has, and they both use all the same accessories. Add some Hydro-tech pads and work with your Megs polishes first or consider the 105/205 combo to knockout heavy swirls and marring.

We guarantee the best pricing, and we offer all the choices so that you make one that fits your budget and environment. Let us know if we can help ....

Is the 205 a good finishing polish, or should I use something like the ultimate polish to finish?

I use the 105/205 and love it, gives a great final polish, curious if the experts suggest one step up, let's see what they say?

I used the 205 with a LC orange pad on a porter cable on my Torch Red C5, of course after wash and clay bar. I had minor swirling, and the results were fabulous. I could have left it, but I applied Meguiars NXT wax. Everything from Autgeek. I was leery of using a polisher on my car but watch the videos , it is super easy. I now have a C6 and have yet to machine polish it but I would use the same products again. Good luck..

Menzerna Polishes

PG 1000 (S100) Fast Gloss, IP 2500 (PO203) Power Finish and SF 4000 (PO106FA) Super Finish plus Optimum mirofiber pads should be all you need to meet any paint surface polishing needs

As most have mentioned, you're going to want a machine to make your life easier. Corvettes have notoriously hard clear coat and attempting to remove any substantial paint defects by hand will be a frustrating exercise in futility.

Check out our polisher kits, especially our Basic Flex Kit. It includes all three of our machine polishes and corresponding pads as well.

Keep in mind that our products all come with a 110% money back guarantee, the only one in the industry. Also, if you purchase a machine from us, it not only comes with the standard 1 year factory warranty, but Adam's will warranty it FOR LIFE!

Check out this video from our Instructional Series:

Most of us have found a two-step polishing is necessary on the Vette specifically. 205 is a fine finishing polish, but Menzerna 085rd is off the charts for final finishing. There are three proven two steps:

Megs 105 and 205
Menzerna SIP and 085rd
Wolfgang 3.0 TSR and FG
