Wash with Dawn, then clay the car, then rewash with Dawn, and then put the Dawn back in the kitchen your done using it. :)
Just out of curiousity, why wouldn't a Z-7 wash after claying be enough? Although using Dawn once or twice a year on your car probably isn't going to harm the paint at all, I would think that the inital Dawn wash + claying (w/ Z-7 as a lube) removed any existing waxes. And considering the high-alkalinity content of Dawn, wouldn't it be better to use Z-7 after claying not only to help neutralize your clear-coat, but also to eliminate any chance of leaving behind any residue.....which Dawn has been known to do on occasion?

Intermezzo, I use Dawn after claying because I have enough Z-7 on the car as "lube" from claying, this way I am sure there is nothing on the surface, there is no clay residue, I am using a very small amount of Dawn, could you use Z-7, sure you could. :)
You seem to have gotten some good responses to your question about Zaino. I used Zaino for the first time two days ago. I took pictures of most of the process & have them posted at http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrow...selected=50277

It was near 90 here today and humid, it's suppose to get hotter the next few days, it has been cool at night at least, they lifted our water restrictions (I have wells so it did not apply to me) because of all the rain we have had. You will have to ask the Florida people to send you up some rain, they seem to have a lot at this time. ;)
