Is this glue?
This has been on this area and under the
fifth brake light since picking up the
car. Have tried cleaning with wax with
no luck.
Looking at the crust on the lower
border of the light fixture on the
paint. Any ideas?

Wax will not do anything to remove unless it has some abrasive in it.
No reason for glue in the area.
Try a cleaner wax or a light rubbing compound before doing anything real abrasive.
Might just be water build up contaminant.

It almost looks like something rubbed against the paint and wore off the paint itself. The coloring looks almost primer like. You can try a product like 3M Wax/Adhesive Remover which would remove glue or other adhesives.

It's hard to tell by the picture if it's something on top of the paint ( glue or adhesive) or the paint is gone (missing) if you suspect glue I would try "GOO GONE" or goo off can't remember, to start with & see what the results are. good luck.

Thx to all. It feels rough.
I tried a little M105 and
smoothed it out some.
I will work on it lightly.
The paint is there as some
of it comes off. GooGone
is probably the answer.
