Need advice
My 79 Corvette has a single stage paint job without a clear coat. The paint was pretty nice after my husband wet sanded, polished, and waxed it last month but now the shine is fading again. I would like to mantain this paint job as long as possible since we have a child starting college this fall and another in 2 years.
Is there a product that will make my Vette shiny again and protect the paint from further damage? I know it won't look like a new paint job, I just want it to look nice.

Menzerna makes a seal, but I can't recall the name of it right now.
Klasse High Gloss paint seal is another good one ... it can be layered on (I'd recommend waiting 12 hours between each coat) and works on vehicles with and without clearcoat.
Finish Kare 2180 is another great sealant.

With single stage paint you have to constantly keep the paint protected. If its become oxidized you might wanna try a paint cleansing lotion prior to polishing, but may need polishing also. Then protect the paint and continue to do so on a normal and steady schedule. Consider using a spray wax or spray sealant between sessions to keep or boost the protection also.
