Default Pad colors - Industry standard ?

I usually use Lake Country pads with my PC7424, and maybe I've just never really noticed, but is there an "Industry standard" that Orange pads are light cutting / White is for polishing / Blue for glaze etc ?

in other words, if I use another brand white pad- that's the one for polishing ??

school me .....

unfortunately there are no standards for polishing pads, even as specific as foam related pads. You really need to read descriptions. Its one of the reasons I love the Hydro-tech pads. Three choices, they are work well and as described.

Two words that do not go together - Detailing / Industry Standards. Many mfgs can't even agree on what constitutes a polish, but then confusion is good for sales
