Cleaner wax will contain some sort of abrasives, these abrasives will be mechanical (silicates) or chemical and it will remove the previous coat of wax, 99% of the cleaner waxes contain mechanical abrasives.
Carl is correct - a cleaner wax will contain abrasives, while a "pure" carnauba wax will not.
Cleaner waxes are really a 2-in-1 type of product, aimed at individuals that are looking to save time and money by polishing and waxing in one step. I have a couple of these products on hand, and use them for the door jambs and other not so obvious areas. My experience has always yielded better results with products that had a sole purpose ( a separate polish and wax), versus ones that served more than one.
