I have purchased the Porter Cable 7424 Wolfgang kit from Autogeek to remove the swirls from my black coupe. I've watched the Dvd that came with kit plus all the stuff online at Autogeek. My only question now is what to do with the nose and tail of the car? Do I put any of three products on the plastic or just the sealant? Maybe a stupid question, but I'd rather ask now is to have a mess later!!!
I just received some wolfgang products. Used them today with great results. Like already stated, they can be used on all painted surfaces. Be sure to tape off a square to do a trial run. I did that, then pulled the tape off and moved back in the sun. All the swirls and scratches stopped at the tape line

I would also consider practicing on a "donor" car just to get the hang of the machine before using on the vette
You can polish all the painted surfaces, but consider taping corners and emblems.[/QUOTET
Taping corners? Explain please?
using painter tapes to mark of emblems, corners, and other area (like trim) so that the rotating buffer head doesn't hit them directly. You also want to be careful polishing paint on corners as the paint could be thinner than a flat panel. As with anything, its best to do a little prework.

Thanks so much!! Just want to get all the info I can before I begin, so the end product will look GREAT!!!
Thanks Killrwheels and to everyone else that replied!!! Car is done and looks AWESOME!!!! Still have to do the wheels ,tires, and inside. But, the black paint looks almost wet ! The Wolfgang kit worked great. Will post pictures when I'm done. Again, thank you killrwheels and Autogeek for ALL the answers for my stupid questions.
New question. Now that my car looks great how do I keep that way? Pictures tomorrow when sun will be out.
setup a reasonable wash schedule and learn the best way to wash and dry while avoiding swirls. Using a detail spray or booster can help space out waxing sessions also. Enjoy your ride
