Default New Car Care Line -- Mckee's 37

New product line introduction! McKee's 37!

McKee's 37 Waxes, Coatings, Compounds

What is McKee’s 37?
McKee’s 37 is the culmination of decades of hard work and success. To fully understand the McKee’s 37 line of product however we need to go back in time to the beginning. Back to when Bob McKee first started what has now become the world’s largest online supplier of automotive detailing supplies, products and tools… Autogeek.com

Detailer’s Pro Series
The Detailer’s Pro Series or DP for short was developed and introduced by Bob McKee back in the year 1997. It was primarily created and formulated as a premium quality line of cleaning products for professional detailers including such products as,

  • Engine degreasers
  • Interior cleaners
  • Car wash shampoos
  • All purpose cleaners

The goal was to deliver a line of products available in larger 32 ounce sizes formulated using premium quality ingredients that offered superior performance available from traditional products over-the-counter but at over-the-counter prices.

Over the years the DP line evolved to include everything except paint correction and polishing products such as compounds and polishes. As the DP line popularity increased via word-of-mouth advertising it developed a strong and loyal following.

Enter Pinnacle XMT
In May of 2006, an off shoot of the Pinnacle Natural Brilliance line was introduced by Bob McKee called Pinnacle XMT. The letters XMT stands for Extreme Machine Technology. Whereas the products in the Pinnacle Natural Brilliance line were for primarily intended for hand application the products in the Pinnacle XMT line were formulated for and targeted at machine application.

Machine polishing
With the introduction of easier and dramatically safer to use dual action polishers such as the Porter Cable 7424 and 7336 orbital polishers, machine polishing was growing in popularity and as such there was a growing market for high quality products specifically formulated for use by machine.

Bob McKee knew that introducing a line of products formulated specifically for machine application was a risky venture back in the early 2000’s because it also meant converting large segments of the do-it-yourselfer population from working by hand to working by machine.

Remove the confusion
With the introduction of the Pinnacle XMT line to the market, consumers now had more choices and options for product selection. One of Bob’s goals behind the Pinnacle XMT line was to remove the confusion over which products to use doing paint correction, polishing and waxing.

Bob McKee used a simple numbering and color coding system to indicate the level of power available from each product. This made choosing the right product simple for both beginners and seasoned pros alike. This also removed much of the guesswork out of product and pad selection which resulted in even faster acceptance of machine polishing by the car enthusiast market.

Like the Detailer’s Pro Series line the Pinnacle XMT line was very successful and gained a strong and loyal customer base.

Fast forward to the present…
Now days just about every manufacturer in the automotive car care industry offers some version of a complete line of products including compounds and polishes. However, too many brands are either targeted solely at the professional body shop or detailing industries and due to the overwhelming number of products in their line as well as the confusing industry specific jargon they use to name or describe their products, the average person is overwhelmed with confusion and often times simply gives up on taking any action to detail their own car.

Car care simplified
McKee’s 37 is a culmination of the reformulating, updating and improving of the best of the existing products from both the DP and XMT lines as well as introducing totally new and unique products to form a completely new single line of products called McKee’s 37.

This includes the introduction of new cutting edge compounds, polishes and waxes as well as ceramic coatings for paint, glass and wheels. The fusion of all of the best products in the DP line together with the best products in the XMT line along with the introduction of new products using new technology has resulted in a complete line of products capable of taking care of every aspect of all vehicles from top to bottom as well as inside and outside.

A simple naming protocol is used so that the average person can easily understand what each product is and what it does simply by the product name and description. Bob McKee’s simple approach to naming his products takes the confusion as well as frustration our the product selection process to make car detailing fast, easy and enjoyable by everyone.

Something for everyone
The new McKee’s 37 line offers something for everyone at any level of skill or experience. The long history behind the new McKee’s 37 line was originally and still is focused on providing high quality, superior performing products at prices that are equal to over-the-counter options.

The extensive range of value priced, high quality products means consistent, professional results for people from all backgrounds ranging from someone that is brand new to car detailing to weekend warriors to seasoned pros.

A name you can trust
In fact, Bob McKee felt has so much confidence in the quality and performance of this new line of products that he proudly puts his name on the front label of every product. And that’s the story behind McKee’s 37!

don't all lines of car care products use the same base, like gasoline coming from the same pipe line with the brand distributor adding their own additives.

I am not a chemist so I cannot answer their question definitively. That said, I don't believe so based upon what I have seen and heard in within the industry. They might have some similar ingredients and overlap in a specific ingredient in some offerings but I do not believe the base is the same on all of them.

The initial reviews are suggesting these products are indeed upgrades and updated.

There indeed is a meaning ... unfortunately it has not been shared with me. McKee is the owner's last name.
