exhaust tip cleaning
this is how i have been cleaning the exhaust tips, even with 800 mils on her she builds up soot pretty quickly. I'm going to try to keep up the regimen, hopefully it prevents permanent staining.

I keep an old clean microfiber cloth on a towel rack on the workbench and wipe them every couple drives, dampened with a little detail spray. Takes 10 seconds and they're spotlessly clean.

APC, my lug brush and small wheel woolie every time I wash the car.
The way that ball slings polish, you're going to have to clean it up that way any way.

Nice video, however I just spritz the tips with a QD and wipe with a microfiber. Done in just a few seconds. Shiny and look like new. I have found with exhaust tips, less aggressive is better. Too much abrasive polishing tends to diminish their shine. Simple, regular, non abrasive upkeep just seems to work.

When my tips get pretty dirty, I clean the inside part with #0000 extra fine steel wool ... Then polish everything with Mother Mag and Aluminum Polish. The Mothers is the best stuff I have found for polishing any type of metal.

I have a Borla exhaust and a there is almost no room between the out side of the larger Borla tips and the opening. Anyone else have trouble keeping the outside shiny?
