Default Best polish for Stainless Exhaust Tips?

Used Mothers Billet years ago and it seemed to work well and keep my tips looking great. Been out of the detailing loop for a while, wondering what else is out there that will get the job done. I heard Simichrome was some pretty good stuff.

As I mentioned in another similar thread ...

I know it says "Aluminum" on the container, but it works fantastic on 304 stainless exhaust tips.

Check out this video, our Metal Polish does a great job on exhaust tips.
Thanks for looking.

If the stainless has been scratched from using an aggressive abrasive to remove surface dirt, grime or burned on residue it is impossible to remove the scratches. That being said, you can "polish" the stainless where it will shine but the scratches will still be there because the SS is so hard. I have worked for hours trying to remove scratches from someone using Scotchbrite or some other abrasive with limited success. You can use a cotton ball attachment with green polishing bar rouge compound which is somewhat effective if the scratching is not too severe. You can polish to a bright shine but you cannot remove the fine scratches without professional jewelers rouge and high speed polishers coupled with considerable time involved.

I use car detail products from Jay Leno's Garage. I bought a few items including the All-Metal Polish. Used it on my C7 exhaust tips. Its a liquid and the tips come clean without heavy rubbing. Best Polish I have ever used.

Allll of this. Also, wet-sanding will do the trick as well with fine scratches. Time is the key though, I spent 5+ hours on mufflers and they still had micro-scratching. I use Mother’s Mag & Aluminum Polish, M100 Pro Speed/M205 before that, and wet-sanded with 100 grit and backed out to 400/800/1500/2000/3000. The picture is one untouched and the other halfway through, I think my final pictures are on my phone (I am on IPad).

I just kept switching back and forth between the Wenol and Semichrome....I used both my electric drill (much higher speed) and the cordless. I just kept it up until I got them to where I thought I couldn't do anymore. Thanks for your comments...I appreciate it very much.

I've used all the ones mentioned above (and several that haven't been mentioned) and they all work well... but i discovered this stuff over the summer and it is hands down the fastest working, easiest to use metal polish I've ever experienced. Hard to explain in words how good this stuff works... but trust me, it's better than anything else I've ever used. Get some, you will be a believer too.
