Default What MF towels are people using??

I have been using Griot's MF Speed Shine Cloths and was wondering what everyone is using?

Griot's are nice, but very pricey. I buy mine (in multiple naps and styles) from both TowelPros and The Rag Company. They sell high-quality Korean and Chinese manufactured 70/30 towels. Both companies are great, but I usually end up buying from TowelPros. Rob (owner) is the nicest guy, answers emails and processes orders quickly, and he usually has sales and specials going on.

I do have an Adam's Polishes trunk organizer I take to car shows, and I have a couple of their "double soft" polishing towels in there. They are pricey, but super-plush and are awesome for using with detail spray or spray waxes at car shows. I don't use them for daily/weekly stuff, though.

Autogeek has a full line of MF with a chart which shows what towel is best suited for which task. I personally love the plush gold towels.

I have a ton of various towels for wax removal, spray detailers, interior work, windows, wheels, etc., and I am just a car enthusiast. Do I even want to know how many towels you own?

Buy your towels based on what you what it to do. Keep them for polish removal, drying(if you use towels for that) LSP removal, quick detail etc. Best to keep these towels seperate and wash separately.
Another place that sells nice towels and at times has great bundle prices is PakShack

FYI, there is a 30% off microfiber sale at Autogeek for today only. I grabbed a 6-pack of their thick "buff and shine" towels. They are perfect for the thicker spray waxes and spray sealants.

I recently changed from Griot's MF towels to using The Rag Company Korean made MF towels. Night and day difference to me anyways from using the Made in China Griot's stuff.

I have towels for specific jobs, black ones for dirty engine bay and wheels to the nice plush 16x16 grey edge less for polishing and spray detailing.

Cost is a lot less through the Rag Company versus the other companies too. Dollar for dollar a better value imo.

Cheers,
Alex

I buy my mf towels from COSTCO. When I detail the car after a drive, I start from the top down, wiping the wheels last and "toss" the towel. No reason to wash the towel when they sell for $15+/- for 36 towels. They perform great. No reason to spend extra money for no reason.

Default Best Microfiber Towels

Hello,
I have found that the towels from Griots Garage work best. Cost more but worth it.

I agree with Lavla, Costco is the best quality. Recently took mine to a high end detailer in town, they use Costco micofiber and they said were the as good as as the best ones out out there.

Cobra Super Plush and Gold Plush. I actually just ordered a bunch to redo my stock of MF towels when I bought the Vette. The purple Super Plush ones are easy to identify as being my "buff off wax and polish" towels.

Does anyone use towels to scrub rubber trim pieces? I find that I use my older, cheaper towels for this because a ton of black marks come off onto the towel. Is there something better to use than towels for this purpose? Perhaps I can buy some black towels and the staining won't bother me so much.
