Z2 - What am I doing wrong?
I applied Z2 today (the bottle is nearly 3 years old) and havent used z2 mcuh at all since switching to z5 on my Vette.
Now htat I have a new vehicle, I wanted to get the reportedly better z2 shine.
My truck's paint is literally new.. I had the zaino on it within a month of it being built
I had z1, z5 , z5 , z5 , z5
Z5 applies thin, smooth, and wipes completely off.
So I put some z2 on today, it has a much "harder' composition, if that makes sense.
it left "artifacts" all over the truck after wiping it down. I had to rub pretty hard in a few places to get them off. Some I had to use body scrub to get them off. Washing/z6 wouldn't do it.
Any idea what i may be doing wrong? Or do you think something has happened to my z2? Theres very little of it left, I'm ordering more soon, so if it's just age.. no biggie.

might be gettin old..
not sure if my memory is correct but i think the shelf life was 2 years for zaino.. at least it was a few years back.

No doubt about it big guy. Your old bottle of Zaino needs to be poured down the Draino.

I am in agreement with you! I have a bottle of Z2 that is 6 weeks old and the finish is no where as nice as the Z5. The removal of the Z2 take a lot more elbow grease and leaves "artifacts" on the surface. I use only 10cc (third of an ounce) with 2 drops of ZFX, and the stuff goes on fairly well. I get one coat from this. But removal, a whole different story. Last time I applied it I rewashed the car to get the residual off. The Zaino products are great, but I think I will stay with only the Z5! :seeya

I have used just Z-5 for the last year plus, I just started using Z-2 on a regular basis, the Z-2 likes to be put on much thinner that Z-5, this will make removal of Z-2 much easier. :yesnod:

Kale's experience raises a question I had not thought of before. How do you store your Zaino products. I my area of the country the temprature in the garage is likely to drop to near zero from time to time and it gets rather hot in the summer. Would the shelf life be better if it is stored indoors rather than in the garage?
