Default New Ceramic Coating from XPEL

XPEL FUSION PLUS Ceramic Coating is a nano ceramic clear liquid coating that can be applied to paint, glass, vinyl and paint protection films, which provides a fortified layer of vehicle protection. Bonding at a molecular level, the ceramic coating seals and protects vehicle surfaces from environmental contaminants, including pollutants, tree sap and insect acids. XPEL FUSION PLUS shields against harmful UV rays and corrosion. In fact, it helps to reduce the amount of oxidation, which can result in dull, fading paint.

Using a hydrophobic formula, XPEL FUSION PLUS boasts self-cleaning properties to repel water, dirt and grime. It is scratch-resistant and helps protect against swirl marks and minor wash scratches to maintain a sleek, high-gloss finish.

Product Features:

● Protection from UV rays and oxidation
● Hydrophobic Properties
● 4 Year Warranty
● Fine scratch and swirl resistance
● Stain resistant
● Self-cleaning

FUSION PLUS ceramic coating is available now through the XPEL installer network. FUSION PLUS carries a comprehensive warranty package for four (4) years from the date of application, upon registration and when maintained in accordance with warranty terms and conditions.

XPEL FUSION PLUS ceramic coating does not protect against rock chips. This product is intended to be professionally applied and is compatible with vehicle paint or XPEL paint protection film, as well as vinyl wraps and graphics.

Looks like an interesting product.

Will it ever be released for the DIY’er?

This is a great question, and the answer right now is no. Due to the strength of the chemical makeup, this needs to be professionally applied because if mistakes are made it can become extremely difficult to remedy. It's better to leave it up to the certified technicians.

Thanks for the reply, and I can certainly understand the reasons why.

Default Xpel Fusion ceramic a fingerprint magnet?

About two months after delivery I had my '19 Stingray paint corrected, treated with PPF on the front, rockers and mirrors with the Xpel Fusion ceramic on the rest of the car. The results were amazing - the smoothness and color depth are awesome and the "bead factor" is amazing.
Two things I have noticed is that the Fusion ceramic areas are a fingerprint magnets as I cannot touch the car without leaving a visible fingerprint requiring a pass with a microfiber towel to restore the finish. Additionally it seems to scratch far too easily as if the finish is soft.
Is this a one-off or does someone have a similar experience?

On mine it seems pretty rock hard. I started with pretty bad paint and it was corrected perfectly, then Fusion over the entire car. I do get a lot of fingerprints (can't say it's more than before since EVERY DANG PERSON wants to physically touch this car).

I still have absolutely zero swirls in this paint though, it's good for me!

Thanks for the info.. The shop did minor paint correction as the car was only a couple of months old. I can deal with the fingerprints and the color really pops, but "rock hard" is not a term I'd use to describe the finish..

You do not have to sand down the finish when it is time to re-apply CC
