Default Which finishing polish

Hello,

i am looking to order some finishing polish to really make the paint shine like never before. I’m using griots correcting cream for correction. Out of these 3 what would you go with?
griots perfecting cream
adams finishing polish
menzerna 3500

You used Griot's for correcting. I would simply use the Griot's for polishing. They are made to work together.

Honestly, all the products you listed will perform very well. Your pad selection and technique is what will make most of the difference in how the shine ends up.

I just corrected and polished my black 2010 Z06 using Griot's Correcting followed by Perfecting and I found the combination produced excellent results. I would echo FYRARMS, the Correcting and Perfecting are made to work together, I do not see any reason to look elsewhere as the shine was outstanding and the Griot's Creams were so nice to work with. I'd say just use the Perfecting. I followed with an IPA wipedown, then Collinite 915 and finally BeadMaker and I can definitely tell you the car has exceptional depth and shine.

I realize, none of these were on your list, but man oh man, I have to tell you, awesome finish. I use Chemical Guys Vertua Bond 408 Bonding Agent, Pinnacle Signature II Carnauba Paste Wax, and then, use as a finish whip and at times, when needed to boost my wax, I use Wolfgang fusion Spray Wax.

Chemical Guys discontinued the Vertua-Bond a while ago. They now offer their V-series compounds and polishes now. Closest match to the 408 would probably be the V38 finishing polish, which apparently isn't that great.

I just ordered a bottle of Griots Finishing Protectant Cream for my metallic black paint. Anxious to see how it does for minor scratches.

On Vettes's ( C5-6-7's) I'll use 2 products that in my experience give me the best results. Depending on what the customer wants I go 1 or 2 stage. FG400 on a yellow/orange LC flat followed by 3500 ( was SF4500) on a black LC flat pad.

The FG400 has decent cut for heavier swirls and RIDS but will finish down LSP ready. I seldom bring out the rotary and instead rely on my 3401 and SK 15mm

If not too bad you can FG400 on a white and skip the further refinement. Depending on the color 98% will never know that extra last step. The 3500 has very very little cut so you wan the paint to be in best shape as possible. It will just give that little extra umph.

Here is a customer's car with just the FG400
Hood before

Trunk before

I'm liking CARPRO ESSENCE on a 3" RUPES YELLOW PAD..................

The Future of Gloss...

CarPro is turning the wheels of innovation once again!! CarPro Essence is a unique blend of nano-tech Quartz, high gloss durable resins, and fine abrasives that are blended together at a microscopic level to form something truly ground breaking! CarPro Essence leaves an amazing high gloss finish with semi-permanent fillers and protective capabilities all built in!

Paired with a microfiber cutting pad Essence is capable of unexpected cutting power, while a CarPro gloss pad armed with Essence provides gloss we could only dream of until now! But this is not simply a polish…

In less than the time you take to polish a car with conventional products, CarPro Essence is capable of removing swirls, building your clear coat thicker, leaving higher gloss, and laying down a semi-permanent coat of protection! Oh… and it wipes off like a dream!

Incredibly Essence also leaves a perfectly smooth, deep, reflective, primed layer to build on with CQuartz or Reload! The primer attribute in Essence makes application of CQuartz easier than ever and bonds together seamlessly, forming a shell of Extreme Gloss and protection!

Features:

  • Primes surface for CQuartz or Reload
  • Produces Extremely High Gloss
  • Semi-permanent filling capabilities
  • Adds layer of SiO2 Quartz protection
  • Use with D/A, Rotary, or by Hand
