Paint on a 93 Ruby
To new to know. Does the original paint job on a 93 Ruby have a clear coat stage or is it single stage? Was watching the Adams vids and he was talking about a 20+ year old mustang restoration that was single stage.

When in doubt an easy way to check is to take a white micro with a mild polish and rub an inconspicuous area. Color on the cloth is an indication that its a single stage ( or complete clear coat failure)

When Corvette moved to it's new assembly plant midway through 1981, they initiated a new base coat/clear coat paint procedure. So, every Bowling Green assembled Corvette had it.
I've had 2 93 Ruby Corvettes with original paint. Both had BC/CC paint. Yours will also, unless it was re-painted in single stage.
