For applying detail sprays, I am using The Rag Company "Spectrum 420" towels.
For applying spray waxes, I use plush microfiber "brick" applicators from Liquid X.
To buff off either product once it is applied, I use The Rag Company "Eagle Edgeless 600" towels.
Costco yellow towels. 36 pack is $17. The only thing these towels suck at is drying off a washed vehicle.
I save all the old ones to clean the wheels with then toss them in the garbage.

Depending on the exact product i'm using and for the application of the product I typically reach for:
-a microfiber applicator pad - circular or rectangular from the rag company
- rag company edgeless 365
-rag company eagle edgeless 500 or 350
typically 70% Polyester / 30% Polyamide
For final buff, I like the reg company eagle edgeless 500
That is typically when I am touching paint.
For interiors i'll and wheels I still use the applicator pads, but I'll back down on the GSM count and Poly mix - maybe 80/20
