bought chemical guys qd and the ''perl'' in last couple weeks . washed wifes daily driver yesterday and sprayed it with kenotek while drying it , works great just as you folks said . sprayed it on a rag and wiped wheels as well . decided to put another coat of ''perl'' on tires . later i realized i'd put the chemical guys qd on tires instead of ''perl'' . they look pretty nice and glad i did that rather than accidentally putting ''perl'' on paint . both products seem to be satisfactory over this short time frame . . .peace
If the Chemical Guys were to only make one product, it should be the "Quick Synthetic Detail Spray". Okay, and maybe the "Mango Cello" interior air freshener. So, two products. LOL

I like the CG Synthetic QD as well but prefer the V07. It find the V07 to be as close to Bead Maker as any of my numerous toppers. I have become a big fan of Chemical Guys products.

I have tried V07, and ended up mixing it 50/50 with Sonax BSD to make it work (for me) worth a hoot.
My biggest issue with V07 is that it is reeeeealy overpriced for what it is supposed to be. CG claims it is a mild sealant (like Bead Maker), but it costs 2 or 2.5 times more. In reality, it adds less gloss and slickness than Bead Maker, and it is less durable than a cheap $7 bottle of Eagle One detail spray. In my opinion, it just gets its butt kicked in any category by other less expensive products. But, again, that is just my opinion (and Brian's and Jimbo's). If you like it, keep using it!
To me, the closest competitor to Bead Maker is Nanoskin's "Nano Shock". I have recommended this before. Closer in price ($9-10 per bottle), closer in enhanced gloss and slickness, and durability is almost matched. Nano Shock seems to be more hydrophobic, too. Application is the same experience. Smells just as awesome!
