If you are talking about anything done before a contact wash, I employ a few different pre-rinse practices.
I ALWAYS use a snow-foam prior to the contact wash. This is pretty much standard operating procedure for most maintenance washes.
When I am performing a strip wash, I will employ an APC pre soak then move to the snow-foam and then the contact wash. I'll perform a strip wash about twice a year.
Lately whilst doing a standard maintenance wash, before the snow foam stage, I have been experimenting with spraying dilution of a rinseless wash on the dry clear coat, letting it encapsulate and lift the dirt, pressure wash that off, then snow-foam and finally contact wash. Important to note again that the rinseless is sprayed onto a dry car; the car is not pressure washed or made wet before the rinseless goes on.

would like to know how this works out. I use ONR on our vehicles when lightly dirty and happy with the product and results.

@Loki 6 Exactly how are you spraying it onto the car? A trigger sprayer?

I’m using a 32 oz spray bottle with 2 ounces of rinse less wash and the rest filled with distilled water. It’s a pretty aggressive mix but it works well.
im considering getting a pump sprayer for this step should I continue to employ this method.
