Bought the wife a Lexus RX 450h last week for our 55th. They talked me into a coating on it called PPS. Never heard of it before, Cleaning was a negative charge then coating was positive, something like that. It looked so good I had them put it on my Z06. Supposed to never have to polish/wax again. We'll see.

It is just a ceramic coating. As with any coating, "never having to polish again" is completely up to the vehicle owner. If you are okay with leaving scratches or other defects on your finish, then yes, you would never have to polish.
Two different coatings with the same name? What are the odds? Regardless, if the coating is ceramic, metal oxide, teflon-based, silicone-based or other, my comment is still valid. If you are okay with leaving scratches or other defects on your finish, then yes, you would never have to polish. Please do keep us posted on the the durability of the coating. Interested to see how it lasts for you.
Upon further investigation, Youtube 'Surface Science' it appears to be teflon based coating. Of course I will take care of scratches, etc. And since I am **** about shine I will use my spray 'n shine from mcguire's to keep it looking good. Thanks for your comments.
