I am wanting to learn if anyone has used an enclosed car hauler as a garage for your Vette or classic vehicle?
I have leaned it is next to impossible for me to build in my back yard. I was considering a 8.5 x 24 car hauler, parked in my back yard, for my Corvette that is not driven that often. Also, the $15k cost is about half of what the building would cost.
shipping containers sweat a lot on the inside, I've seen cars just turn to rust when put away for a few years in them. I suppose with added ventalation maybe a solar fan it might be ok. Trailers have a similar problem of lack of airflow and condensation if left outside. In the NE a few people I know store a car in the trailer but then the trailer is stored indoors at a fairgrounds building for the off-season. I personally wouldn't leave one in an enclosed car trailer outside for a winter if possible but it is probably better than being outside, at least the mice/critters shouldn't get at the car.
