Gixx, on badly faded trim ( think Chevy Avalanche ) a thorough cleaning followed by Solution Finish to add the black back and next day wipe down with Cerakote. Works wonders and from my torture test down here, it last’s well over a year.So far Cerakote is the only product that last’s ( even coatings don’t seem to hold up well on paint ).
Yeah, I thin that is the blueing agent, not the trim protectant, But hey, I’ve CanCoated my old fiberglass shower after buffing it.Wife thought I was crazy until she saw the results. Have to ask Fyr what he uses on his arms ( I hope he doesnt say Dove for men )
The CERAKOTE Product for Black Plastic Trim is much different than the CERAKOTE
that would be applied to METAL Gun Parts......................
I have ZERO experience with CERAKOTE Wipes for Black Plastic
but I am a pleased user of SOLUTION, that I apply with those
small round/square cotton make up pieces that women often use.
I will also recommend this below product for maintaining plastic trim.....It
is a clear syrup like product similar to Black WOW........................

Put the Cerakote on top for longevity! On decent black trim, ti will jet or darken a little. It really help keep in good shape. I used to love to use DLUX on peoples cars. Cerakote lasts longer
The cerakote works great on plastic and plastic trim, but is a little glossy for my like. I used it on my wifes SUV which the trim was trashed on, looks good as new and when you open the doors you can see the spots i missed. The mist spots are almost white, all the spots that were done are jet black and glossy and its been well over a year baking in the south FL sun.
