Short of asking the seller for proof that ceramic coating was applied, does anyone know of a guaranteed way of determining if a used Vette has been ceramic coated?
Well, there is really no clear cut way. A”glassy “look may indicate, but is not a surefire way as well as water behavior. However, fresher non ceramic products can exhibit the same behavior as well. A couple APC washes which would break down a sealant or wax ( much easier and faster than a coating) may indicate it’s presence ).
If this is a resale- it won’t really add to the value of the car. I would still see for a bit if it shows the characteristics of a coating, and if so wait a little and then strip and start fresh. As long as you are capable, it’s more time than expense and then you really know exactly what you have
Out west of Chicago I use Just The Details in Sycamore. Found his work to be excellent (has done 3 cars for me), prices reasonable and the CeramicPro products great
You just about can't sell a house down here in FL without a pool after a certain price point.
I could show you a number of examples back when I sold my JAX home, the price difference between with and without was about $2,000. Show me a house with and without where the without house is cheaper by a factor of the cost of a pool install.
Sure after a certain price point as in Southbeach or high end places but were talking used Chevys here.
