Cleaning Convert top
Ok. First corvette. First convertible. I understand about cleaning the exterior, but can anyone give me any help on the upkeep of the convertible top.

I use woolite to clean with a soft brush and protect with aerospace 303. You can get it at most boat shops or online. :thumbs:

I rinse the roof when I wash the car. About once a month I soap it down during the wash. Twice a year I clean the top with Hartz Fabric Roof Cleaner. Ragtop has a similar product. After the Hartz cleaning I treat it with 303 High Tech Fabric Guard. Check MidAmerica or Eckler's catalogs for kits. I'm on my 3rd convertible & I keep each one 6-7 years. I've never had trouble with a top. The tops on the C5 are great! There are some alignment issues, but most have been corrected. You'll love having the top down. Sometimes mine stays down for weeks at a time. And it's a dialy driver!
