Ceramic Sealant
Also, I was watching this video where this guy claimed that just washing your car and following it up with a ceramic car sealant was better than using polish and a clay bar after the wash before applying the ceramic sealant. too.
Any thoughts based on real world experience is appreciated!

As far as claims of longevity of products, it’s mostly marketing hype. Real world most all fall far short. Factors such as driving( city vs. highway ) weather, environment, usage, water/wash, all come into play. Whats lasts in Georgia might fail much faster in lets say Vermont ( just example )
Most of the spray SiO2 are just a polymer sealant with a small percentage of SiO2 added to claim it. What they offer is ease of use and speed.
As for the nonsense of the video ( I dod not nor will I watch it ). First and foremost. Polishing is what provides 95% of the gloss on the paint. Neglected paint or cars that sit outside are more apt to need a claying. When the paint is not taken car of and you want to restore it or even if you wanted to full on ceramic the car, steps would be wash, iron remover, clay, polish, panel prep and coat. There is on need to clay and polish just doing maintenance washes, but yearly wouldn’t hurt at all, especially if kept outdoors.
