Unless this brand new car has been sitting outside for months next to a factory, there should be no need for a "decontamination wash" & clay bar.
That's a $400 rip-off my friend..
Brand new cars 100% absolutely, positively will benefit from a decontamination wash, clay barring, and polish. Before anyone takes delivery of their new car, the paint has been touched, rubbed, and wiped by many hands. They have been on trains and on the backs of open semi trailers. I have detailed several brand new vehicles, and every single one of them has had scuffs, scratches, bird dropping etching, hard water spots, and iron deposits on the paint. The owners are always shocked at how much better their brand new car looks after getting properly cleaned, polished, and protected.

we bought a brand new chevy suv 2 years ago. I went through 3, yes 3, synthetic clay mitts to get the contamination out of the paint. I assume it was railroad dust. Dealer offered to do it, but as anyone knows, letting the dealer detail guy touch your car is usually a mistake.
Rinse it with a hose i assume your water is not hard, and then suds plenty then rinse with water, suds again and wash with mitt and rinse starting from top of car. Next apply Jescar power lock sealant which two coats per instuction on container is a optiom. A car cover will hold the gloss for at least six months. Do no polishing or clay stay away from clear coat for new cars have micro thickness. And once clear is compromised you have no protection. I used the Jescar per my sons detail knowledge on my new truck and for the amount of time it took and the little product it used it was the best method i have every used.
Thats pretty damn cheap IMO, much cheaper than quotes I got to have my car done in florida. There are almost always imperfections on brand new cars, and you really don't want to just coat the car and not have them decon, clay. and polish. I do cars on the side and that's about what I would charge to do the job and I have no overhead.
