Re: Paste or liquid? (jlfrogy)
Well, if you're using Meguiar's I'd suggest the paste version of #26 as you'll probably have less white powdery reside and more reflecitvity (albeit, marginal). In fact, with many pastes that is true. With many "higher-end" waxes like Griot's, Lusso, Mothers, Meguiar's, P21S and Pinnacle powdery residue is virtually non-existant. With these paste waxes you need to re-apply every 2-3 months.
With synthetic waxes like Klasse, NuFinish and Zaino there is also not much white residue to contend with but a longer curing time. With these type of liquids you only need to re-apply every 4-6 months.
Some feel that the paste genere of waxes are higher lustering than synthetics but with as thin of a layers as are applied it would be virtually undetectable by the human eye. Where reflecitvity comes from is proper surface preparation regardless of the protection chosen.
With the exception of NuFinish (because it has chemicle cleaners in it) you can apply multiple layers of the surface protection which will increase the depth of shine, clarity of the color and the integrity of the protection.
Paste is really a better value than liquids - most carnauba based liquids will give you 3-5 applications from a 16 ounce bottle. It's not uncommon to get 20-25 applications out of a 12 ounce can.
And, the product doesn't slop around so much during application, meaning there's less around emblems and in seams.

Paste user here as well (Pinnacle Souveran). I've not come across a liquid version of a wax (including Liquid Souveran) that I have liked as much as the paste version.
Pastes seem easier to work with, and in my opinion, produce a better shine and depth. Pinnacle Souveran paste is great in that there is no "frost" time. Simply apply and then buff before the product frosts over/hazes. Absolutely no powdery residue to deal with. Great stuff!
