That is a good start, a true ceramic is better to me, for the price Turtle Wax Hybrid products are good to use. I did use them before I went true ceramic coatings.
It would help to know if you’re looking at waxes, sealants, or ceramic coatings. Also what was underwhelming about the TW seal in shine? Appearance? Durability? I use the TW hybrid ceramic spray and have been happy with it as far as a mix between durability and shine.

Everything you stated was underwhelming. Is there a significant difference in the TW hybrid ceramic spray?

Ive never used seal in shine but have heard good things about it. I guess it would help if you gave more detail.
Were there any products you have been happy with the shine and durability of?
How often do you apply and is the car stored in the garage or outside?
Did you clay/ prep the car before applying? While all of TWs products can be applied on any finish and look decent for any sealant if you want the durability that’s advertised you really need to make sure the surface is clean and there isn’t any old wax or continents on the paint.
what are you expectations on a product from a durability perspective?
Waxes generally give the best glow and ceramics offer the best durability and sealants are somewhere in the middle depending on the product. Remember too that the shine mainly comes from the paint and not what you put ontop. So if your paint is in bad condition it may need to be polished to get the results you want.
I have been using all the Turtle Wax/Hybrid Solutions spray products for several years. No, the Ceramic Spray Coating isn't that much better. There is a greater chance of streaking. Maybe an extra month of protection over the others from the line.
Honestly, my favorite product from the Turtle Wax protection line is the new formula "ICE Spray Wax". It lasts as long as the others but the carnauba/polymer formula just seems easier to remove with less chances of streaking. That being said, I just cleaned my daily driver and used Seal & Shine to protect it. It was a breeze to apply and remove and has always performed well for me.
Over the years I think I tried every wax, sealer and detailer. I’ve concluded they all give the same results. They are all good. Most of the hype of a particular product is marketing. As mentioned previously by quicksilver20, the shine is in the paint, not what you put on top of it.

Meguiars Quick wax in the maroon spray bottle is what I always use after washing the car. I've tried the turtle wax version but it always seems like it needs twice the amount of wiping and scrubbing to get the film off the paint. Maybe it is a little thicker of a compound I don't know. But for a nice condition weekend cruiser (not a show car) the meguiars is plenty enough shine.
The very best thing I’ve found is to first give the car a good Clay barring to get the surface nice and slick. Then a coating of Rejex 😎! It’s a lot of work the first time you do it, but it really lasts a long time and it keeps the car cleaner and much easier to clean and re-shine. Before you do it, drag your fingernails across your paint. It probably feels like the sidewalk. After Claybar, do it again and it feels like Glass. The REJEX seals it up and keeps it shiny for a long time too. I use it on my windshield too. Bugs and bird poo won’t stick to it. Most bugs bounce off and the ones that splatter can be wiped off with a Kleenex. After a long cruise with the car club, a guy asked me who I was tailgating cause there were no bugs on my car.

I have been happy with TW Hybrid Spray also.

I just finished using the Hybrid Ceramic spray on my Tahoe and it was streaking on me also. Thinking I was doing something wrong while applying it I reread the instructions and it mentioned that if it was streaking you could go back over it with a damp polishing towel and it would remove the streaks. The results were a very bright, clear, streak free shine on my Tahoe.
